A heritage building with outback theming is the perfect backdrop for gatherings…

Our recently restored The Welcome Home is a historic Longreach landmark which is now extending a warm welcome to groups, business and community meetings, weddings and other special events.

Outback Pioneers tour groups can have breakfasts, morning teas, lunches or dinners here. This includes a special Outback Settlers themed dinner where groups can enjoy a taste of times gone by. The rooms can also be booked for group orientation sessions, school briefings or other activities.

For special interest groups like writers groups or art groups, this is the ideal venue to hold a workshop or classes.

For business groups there are options to use the full space theatre style or divide the room into smaller spaces.

The main space will seat 36 people theatre style or 56 at long tables. View room plan.

Whatever your reason for gathering here, you will be in a space synonymous with ‘welcome’ for over a century, since the original hotel took its name to welcome soldiers home from the Boer War.

Please see our venue and vehicle hire price list and contact us for availability and catering options.
