A memorable venue

In a restored 1920s hotel, we have created a space that works for many types of meetings of 10 to 56 people. It can be used as a single room or divided into breakout areas. Decorated with outback memorabilia collected from the surrounding region, the function room sets the scene for a distinctive get-together. Amid the inspiration from the past, you’ll find the present day equipment you need including WiFi, audio system, microphones, display screen TV and whiteboards.

Catering for your participants

We have a range of catering packages during the April-October season. Whether you want morning coffee, afternoon tea or lunch, our kitchen can provide impressive country sustenance. Your participants can also enjoy our Country Buffet Breakfast and an evening meal (the Stonegrill or our Country Classics menu, depending on the day of the week) at The Welcome Home. In the November-March season, our local partners are happy to cater with coffees, teas, sandwiches, cakes and more.

Stay in our accommodation

The Staging Post accommodation, within a few steps of The Welcome Home venue, is open all year. It is often fully booked in the peak holiday season so plan ahead if you want a June-September event. If we do not have space for all your participants, we can advise on other comfortable accommodation options nearby.

Add activities

If you’re spending a few days in Longreach, don’t forget the leisure and partner opportunities. From April-October, the Outback Pioneers experiences give attendees the chance to relax, bond and get to know the area. Whether it’s the Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience, a Nogo Station Experience or Starlight’s Cruise Experience, your event is made more memorable by sharing something different. Our Sunset Stagecoach Story on Tuesdays and Thursday is a small group (up to 10) VIP experience.
