Bush by Night Experience

Outback sights, sounds and silence when the sun goes down and the campfire crackles…

For centuries, outback nightlife has been around the warming glow of a gidgee-wood fire, telling tales while the Southern Cross moves across the sky. Join us for a journey deep into the bush night. You’ll follow in pioneer footsteps, spot night animals and fall under the spell of a world that comes to life when the sun goes down.

It’s a breathtaking moment when the outback sun sets while you watch from the very spot where Captain Starlight (Harry Redford) stood. As the sky turns to gold and the stars come up, the roaring campfire awaits at our bush camp, and with a 2-course dinner*.

There’s bush poetry, tales of local legends and of course the magnificent dome of stars that you can only see far from city lights. You’ll learn what the stars meant to both Indigenous people and the local larrikin heroes who used them to navigate across our vast continent.

Then you’ll travel deeper into the night aboard the open-top, double-decker, overlander bus to discover the secrets of the creatures that live under cover of darkness.

Don’t miss this timeless Australian experience.
